Project description

MIA is a residential project of BNP Paribas Real Estate, after the complete demolition of the historic Grand Hotel Fiera Milano.

The planivolumetric project plant followed faithfully the existing one: two side parts at street level and a central part behind. The building, built as the hotel pulled down, has 11 floors in the side parts at street level and 8 floors for the part behind with 4 staircases.

It contains 102 flats with very high energy and thermal acoustic performances, plus two basement floors with garages and cellars. The ground floor of the building holds a prestigious lobby entrance and an internal garden creating a green oasis at the service of the building complex.

IMPORTANT ASPECTS OF THE PROJECT

Total demolition of Grand Hotel Fiera Milano in an area built contiguously to two existing buildings and in a densely populated area.
Quick construction of the structure with optimization of the steel bar installation with parallel processing on different areas.
The structural framework of the floors above ground is uncoupled from underground floors to ensure higher distribution flexibility thanks to the use of discontinuous structural walls on big metal profiles, buried in the ground floor slab.
