Project description

The “Adriatic LNG” regasification terminal is a prestressed reinforced concrete and steel structure built by gravity on the seabed at a depth of 28 m. The terminal, located off the coast of Porto Levante, in the high Adriatic Sea, at about 15 km from the Venetian coast, in international waters, is destined to receive, store and regasify liquid natural gas (LNG).

The terminal receives liquid natural gas directly from big LNG carriers. It processes LNG to obtain and supply Italian consumers with natural gas through an undersea gas pipeline connecting it to the mainland.

The terminal has been working 24 hours a day and 365 days a year from about 10 years.
